Our process really begins nearly a decade ago as Tim Elkins set out to create the highest quality producing genetics of our Black Angus herd. Our herd is raised with daily care, checking for illness or lack of nutrition every single morning. Animals showing any signs of illness, are separated and given special attention before releasing back into the herd. Unlike other cattle ranchers who prioritize maximizing weight over quality, Elkins Cattle Co feeds and finishes each animal on a strictly grass diet. Our animals are cared for without the use of mRNA's, steroids, or hormones.

HARVESTED & DRY-AGED
When it's time to harvest, we partner with a local family-operated butcher shop where the animal is humanely harvested & inspected adhering to the highest industry standards without any fillers or preservatives. After harvesting, the beef is dry-aged in a controlled environment for a minimum of 15 days. This aging process allows enzymes to break down muscle tissue, resulting in a richer flavor and tender texture.

PACKAGED & SHIPPED
Once the dry-aging process is complete, the beef is butchered by experts who understand the intricacies of each cut. Our butchering process emphasizes precision and care, ensuring that each piece of meat is cut to perfection and vacuum-sealed for freshness. After butchering, the meat is shipped directly from our family facility to our customer's doorstep with dry ice, ensuring that it arrives fresh and ready to be enjoyed. We take pride in delivering a product that reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and animal welfare, allowing our customers to savor the full flavor of responsibly raised beef.
