Details
Details
Beef kidney suet is the hard fat surrounding the kidney and is considered the highest-quality fat for rendering tallow. Compared to other beef fats, it produces a whiter, firmer, and more neutral-flavored tallow, making it ideal for cooking, baking, skincare, soap making, and other DIY uses.
This suet is ground for convenience and vacuum sealed to preserve freshness.
Yield: approximately 1–2 cups of tallow per pound, depending on rendering method.

Cooking Tips
Cooking Tips
Place the ground suet in a heavy-bottom pot, Dutch oven, or slow cooker over very low heat. Allow the fat to melt slowly, stirring occasionally, until fully liquefied and the solids separate.
Strain the liquid fat through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a heat-safe container. Let cool completely—properly rendered tallow will solidify into a smooth, creamy fat.
For cooking tallow, one careful rendering is typically sufficient. For skincare or cosmetic use, the tallow can be re-melted and strained multiple times for max purity.
Store finished tallow in the refrigerator or freezer for long-term use.
