Lean, hearty, and full of rich beef flavor. A classic cut perfect for slow roasting and slicing thin for sandwiches. Cut from the hindquarter, this roast is naturally lean but becomes incredibly tender when cooked low and slow.
Details
Details
The Top Round Roast comes from the upper portion of the cow’s rear leg, an area known for producing lean, flavorful beef. Because this muscle gets plenty of use, the meat is naturally firm and benefits from gentle cooking methods. When prepared properly, it slices beautifully and makes excellent roast beef for meals throughout the week.

Cooking Tips
Cooking Tips
Top Round Roast is best cooked low and slow to keep it tender and juicy. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs, then roast at 225–275°F until the internal temperature reaches 130–135°F for medium-rare. Let the roast rest for 15–20 minutes before slicing, then cut thinly against the grain to maximize tenderness.
This cut is also excellent for making homemade roast beef for sandwiches throughout the week.
